The Way of the Warriors Is On the Launch Pad

The Way of the Warriors is coming 15th January 2014

I have finally moved The Way of the Warriors (- this is my membership site that has a high-value eBook on a proven internet marketing strategy-) onto the launch pad – it is scheduled for launch on 15th January 2014.

Why so long you may ask?  There are a number of reasons:

  • I need to create a JV blog – this is now done http://wayofthewarriors.com/jv
  • I need to sort out the sales funnel – in particular I need to change the current sales funnel and I want to upgrade the sales letters in parts of the funnel – particularly the one for Product Creation Renegade.
  • it is important to get the Christmas season out of the way
  • most importantly, I need time to recruit affiliates… and lots of them.  In fact, for 2 months prior to the launch, this will be my main task.

With regards to the revised sales letter, I want to try some high-quality Photoshop sales letter designs that I have acquired.  These have high visual appeal.  It will be interesting to compare them with the ‘down-and-dirty’ style of the Paper Template plugin that I normally use for sales letters.

Armand Morin’s Lead Generation Strategy

This week I have been thinking about how to increase the number of people joining my list.  With this view in mind, I started to create some free eBooks to give away.

Then last night I was catching up on the recordings of Armand Morin’s Webcamp and was gob-smacked to discover that he is ‘too lazy’ to create give-aways.  He then explained that by giving away some free-stuff in return for the optin you are doing two things:

  • letting the prospect off the hook psychologically – they’ve given you the optin in return for your free gift – so they are less likely to buy the subsequent offer in the funnel.  He then explained that when he started out as a hoover salesman he would never accept a drink or anything from his prospective  customer until he had closed the sale i.e. the customer lessened the obligation created by giving them his time through giving him a drink of water.
  • second, the prospect will have an excuse to delay a decision to buy i.e. ‘I’ll read the free gift before I decide whether to buy’.

He therefore creates an optin page that just piques their curiosity e.g. ‘To find out how to lose 12 pounds within 24 hours – just click here’ – after opting in the prospect is taken straight to the weight-loss sales letter.

This enables him to create multiple optin pages for the same sales letter – he likes to create 30 optin pages for the same sales letter, each addressing a different reason why a person should lose weight e.g.

  • lose weight after child-birth
  • lose weight for your wedding
  • lose weight for your holiday
  • lose weight to due to diabetes
  • lose weight to look better
  • lose weight to run faster
  • and so on

Each optin page will then have 5 or 6 adverts – each advert is matched to the optin page – same issue, same image so that you directly address the issue that caused the person to click on the ad – this obviously leads to higher conversions.  The issue is dealt with as a bullet point in the generic lose-weight sales letter and the person naturally assumes that the letter is speaking to them.

Here are some of the rules that he adopts with this strategy:

  • he can create multiple optin pages fast using a free plugin called Post Duplicator that simply creates a duplicate of the optin page and you only then need to make a couple of changes to create an entirely new optin page
  • create one optin page at a time and get it converting at 20% or more
  • the sales page must convert at 3% or more
  • if both these conversion rates are in place, he calculates that he can make any advertising pay
  • he tracks conversions using Link Trackr (- this has a monthly recurring cost and I therefore think that a tool like Quality Click Control is ultimately cheaper to use)
  • you can increase sales page conversions by having a $1 trial (- this needs to be tested to see whether your ultimate sales take is better as your refund rate might be higher too!)

Armand Morin's Optin Strategy

If you create 30 optin pages that convert at the required level, as Armand advocates, then you get potentially massive leverage and results.

Let me know in the comments section below what you think of this strategy.

I met Rob Cornish at Alex Jeffries event earlier this year.  Rob is one of the marketers whose emails do get through to my inbox.  In fact, it was one of his posts that stopped me from buying Optimize Press 2 – he is definitely one of the good guys in my opinion.

I also bought Christine Clayfield’s epic eBook entitled ‘From Newbie to Millionaire’ – she is definitely an over-achiever so I am looking forward to meeting her.  I know less about the other speakers but suffice it to say, I am going to the event with my networking hat on!

Hopefully I can start recruiting some potential affiliates for The Way of the Warriors launch on 15th January 2014 – we shall see!
